Project Overview

Located in Carlsbad, this compound of apartment complex has multiple 2-story and 3-story wood framed apartment buildings over a tuck-under parking garage with open front. The Ownership decided to voluntarily perform seismic retrofit to upgrade the building up to the requirements of City of Los Angeles Soft Story Ordinance. One-bay or 2-bay steel moment frames were provided at the open front of the parking with concrete footings and grade beams.
